Dear IASLC Directors,

Since 2020, the IASLC Governance Committee has reviewed and revised the IASLC bylaws and the Conflict-of-Interest (COI) policy.  In accordance with the IASLC COI policy and as part of our ongoing focus on transparency, we are continuing this best practice as a regular, annual board exercise.

It is now time for the board’s annual submission of IASLC’s Conflict of Interest (COI) form for 2022.  As in 2021, we will continue the automated COI process via the OpenWater software program.  The automated COI process allows for the public disclosure of our COIs (as required by our bylaws) onto the IASLC web site.

All current IASLC board members are asked to complete a new COI for 2022.  Board members should follow the instructions below to access the online form:

1.       Go to https://iaslc-board.secure-platform.com/a/solicitations/24/home

2.       Login using your IASLC Member Portal Credentials. If you do not know your password, click on the “Forgot your password” link to initiate the password reset process.

3.       Once you have successfully logged in, you will be automatically directed to the form.

4.       If you are a returning board member and completed a COI in 2021, click on “Update an Application” or go to "My Applications" - "Incomplete" on the left toolbar to edit and submit your previous COI form.  As minor changes have been made to the COI program, be sure to go through to ensure your information is up to date.

5.       Complete and submit the form by February 28, 2022.

We will accept a COI form from your institution in place of the IASLC COI form; there is a place in the OpenWater platform where you can upload your current institutional disclosure form.  PLEASE NOTE:  If you upload your own form, you are still required to sign and submit the IASLC policy affirmation statement and confidentiality agreement within the OpenWater platform.

After receipt of all 2022 board COIs, the Governance Committee will convene to review the submitted forms. All board COI’s will then be publicly displayed on the IASLC web site.  In addition to the IASLC board, staff leadership who have financial oversight and interaction with industry will also complete a 2022 COI.

Thank you,
